Your professional identity, not just a card

A paper card describes one moment of your career. A professional identity follows you through all of them.

A professional digital identity is a single, permanent web address that presents who you are at work — your name, role, organization, expertise and the ways to reach you — and that every way of sharing (link, QR code, NFC card or ring) opens.

From a static card to an identity that evolves

Paper business cards are printed once and go out of date. A digital business card fixes the reprinting problem but is often just another page. Meishi Me starts from the person: your identity has one permanent address, meishime.com/p/your-name, and everything else — cards, QR codes, NFC chips — points to it.

When your title, company or phone number changes, you update your Meishi once. Every QR code already printed and every NFC card already handed out shows the new information the next time it is opened.

Changing employer without starting over

Your identity belongs to you. If your company gives you a company-managed Meishi, it lives alongside your own, under your name. When you leave, the company turns off its Meishi and takes back its cards; your personal identity, your address and your own QR codes keep working.

Companies get the control they need — branding, locked fields, card inventory, departures — without owning the person's identity. See Meishi Me for organizations.

One identity, several ways in

  • A link you send by text, email or in your email signature.
  • A QR code on a printed card, a badge, a slide or your screen.
  • An NFC card, sticker or ring — any standard NFC chip that stores a web address.
  • A full-screen pass on your phone for events.
  • Several Meishi for different contexts — a conference, a second role, another language — are part of Meishi Me Pro.

Private by design

  • You choose who sees each field; private fields never appear in public pages or contact files.
  • Search-engine indexing of your profile is off until you turn it on.
  • People who share their details back do so explicitly, with consent recorded.
  • You can export your data or delete your account from your settings at any time.

Questions about professional identity

Is a professional digital identity the same as a digital business card?

A digital business card is one way to share it. The identity is the permanent profile behind it: the same address keeps working while your card, title or employer changes.

What happens to my link if I change my name or address?

If you change your username, your old address redirects to the new one permanently, so printed QR codes and NFC cards keep working.

Does my employer own my Meishi Me identity?

No. Your identity and your personal Meishi belong to you. A company can manage the Meishi and cards it provides, and turn them off when you leave — not your personal identity.

Can my profile appear in Google?

Only if you choose to. Search-engine indexing is off by default and can be turned on in your settings.
