NFC business cards that never need reprogramming
Tap a card on a phone and your professional identity opens — today, and after your next promotion.
An NFC business card is a card (or ring, or sticker) with a small chip that holds a web link. When someone holds their phone near it, the phone opens that link — with Meishi Me, your professional profile — without any app.
How it works with Meishi Me
- In Meishi Me, open “Your sharing tools” and add a support: a card, a ring or a sticker you already own.
- Meishi Me gives that support its own permanent link. Write it once on the chip — directly from Chrome on Android, or with any NFC writing app.
- Tap it on a phone: the browser opens your Meishi. The other person can save your contact or share theirs back.
Why one link per support matters
- Change your title, company or design: the same chip shows the new version — no reprogramming.
- Lose a card: turn it off in a second; the chip stops opening your profile.
- Choose what each support opens: your main Meishi or another one you created.
- Chips written earlier with your profile address keep working too.
Which NFC cards work
Meishi Me does not sell cards and works with cards from any supplier. A standard NFC chip that can store a web address (for example NTAG213, NTAG215 or NTAG216) is enough — in a PVC or metal card, a ring, a sticker or a key tag.
Avoid locking the chip permanently unless you are sure of the link; Meishi Me's per-support link means you should never need to rewrite it anyway.
Phones that can read it
iPhone XS and later read NFC tags without any app when the screen is on. Most Android phones read them when NFC is turned on in the settings. If a phone cannot read NFC, the same profile is one QR scan away.
An NFC card is different from Apple's NameDrop, which exchanges contacts between two iPhones. The NFC sharing guide explains both.
For companies: cards you can reassign
Organizations keep an inventory of their cards in Meishi Me: active, inactive and to assign. A card is assigned to an employee and opens that employee's company Meishi. When someone leaves, the card returns to “to assign” and can be given to the next person — the chip is never rewritten.
Questions about NFC business cards
Does the person I meet need an app?
No. Their phone opens your Meishi in the browser when they hold it near your card.
Does the NFC chip store my personal information?
No. It stores only a web link. Your details stay in Meishi Me, where you control who sees them.
Can I use an NFC ring?
Yes. A ring with a standard NFC chip is added as a support like a card and opens the same identity.
Do I need Meishi Me Pro for NFC?
No. NFC sharing and supports are part of the free Personal plan. Pro adds several Meishi, detailed insights and more.
